Tim Paine tried to provoke Rohit Sharma after Virat Kohli and Murali Vijay

On the second day of the third Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Wicket-keeper Tim Paine tried hard to bother Rohit Sharma who was at strikers end. Paine was heard talking to the Aaron Finch who was fielding at forward short leg.

When Nathan Lyon was bowling to Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane was at the non-striker’s end, Australia skipper Tim Paine’s voice was caught by the stumps mic saying that, “If he (Rohit) hits a six, I’ll support Mumbai Indians’.

Paine said to Rohit Sharma who is captain of IPL Mumbai Indians Team 2019 that if he hits a six then he will support Mumbai Indians. He will be changing his side from Ajinkya Rahane’s captained team Rajasthan Royals to Rohit Sharma’s captained team Mumbai Indians.

Australia skipper said, “There is a toss-up between (Rajasthan) Royals and (Mumbai) Indians for me. If Rohit hits a six here, I am changing to Mumbai,”.

Tim was talking about the Indian Premier League which so far has eleven seasons and the IPL twelfth season which is referred as IPL 2019 will start from 29 March 2019.

Paine was trying his best to provoke Rohit so that he commits a mistake but the experienced Hitman Rohit Sharma kept playing his game and did not fall for the words of Australia skipper Tim Paine.

Rohit Sharma took India to 346/4 at the end of the second session on the second day of the third Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Earlier also, in the second Test, Tim Paine was seen attacking opener Murali Vijay from behind the stumps with his words.

At the Perth Test, Paine was heard saying to Murali Vijay in the second innings that, “Murali, I know he’s your captain but you can’t seriously like him as a bloke,”. He also said Kohli that “You’re the one that lost it yesterday, now you’re trying to be cool today.”

Then, Umpire Gaffaney interrupted and said: “That’s enough.” But Paine did not stop and said: “We are allowed to talk.” Gaffaney said: “Play the game. You guys are the captains. Tim, you’re the captain.” But Paine added and said: “Keep your cool, Virat.” Kohli responded with a smile.
