Can Australia defend its ICC Cricket World Cup 2019

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 which is just four months away will be hosted by England and Wales from 30 May to 14 July 2019. The schedule for the tournament is already out with final at the Lord’s, London.

This time the format of the World Cup is different. All the 10 teams will face each other in the round robin stage. The previous World Cup 2015 was won by Australia. It will be interesting to see if the five-times World Cup champions Australia were able to defend its title or not.

The defending Champions Australia will have the World Cup matches on the dates as follows: The first match of Australia will be against Afghanistan National Cricket Team on June 1 at Bristol County Ground. Other matches of Australia is as follows:

● On June 6 against West Indies cricket team at Trent Bridge in Nottingham

● On June 9 against Indian National Cricket Team at The Oval in London

● On June 12 against Pakistan National Cricket Team at County Ground in Taunton

● On June 15 against Sri Lanka National Cricket Team at The Oval in London

● On June 20 against Bangladesh National Cricket Team at Trent Bridge in Nottingham

● On June 25 against England National Cricket Team at The Lord’s in London

● On June 29 against New Zealand National Cricket Team at The Lord’s in London

● On July 6 against South Africa National Cricket Team at Old Trafford in Manchester

Everyone hopes that Australia National Cricket Team can win the World Cup for the sixth time but Indian National Cricket Team can give them good competition as in the recent One Day International series between India and Australia, India won the ODI series 2-1 defeating the host Australia.
